HEALING & FUERZA THERAPY

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized therapy designed to help people process and heal from distressing life experiences, such as trauma. It’s based on the idea that our brains have a natural ability to heal from difficult experiences, but sometimes this process gets “stuck” due to the intensity or overwhelming nature of the event. When this happens, memories of the event can feel unresolved and continue to cause emotional distress, intrusive thoughts, or negative beliefs about ourselves.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a body-centered approach to therapy that focuses on the connection between the mind and body to help people heal from trauma, emotional distress, and other psychological challenges. It recognizes that traumatic experiences can become "stuck" in the body, leading to physical sensations, automatic reactions, or behaviors that feel hard to control.
Instead of focusing solely on thoughts or emotions, this therapy pays close attention to body sensations, movement patterns, and posture as important clues about unresolved experiences. By working with both the body and the mind, it helps clients process and integrate these experiences in a safe and manageable way.

Brainspotting (BSP) is a therapeutic approach that helps people process and heal from trauma, emotional distress, and other psychological challenges by accessing the brain's natural self-healing capacity. It focuses on identifying "brainspots," which are specific eye positions linked to unresolved emotions or memories stored in the brain and body.
“Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.”
